Okay so Columbus day isn't the biggest shopping day of the year. BUT it's definitely a good time to catch some sales to complete your fall wardrobe or get those items you need for winter, like . . . . soup, sweaters, or tires. (Stop looking at me like that - By the time chilly November arrives, you'd wish you shopped on Columbus day for them and gotten them on sale too.) Trivia: Did you know that the first Columbus Day celebration occurred was held in 1792, in New York City, on the 300th anniversary of Columbus landing in the New World? Also did you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month?
